Disco Mailer African Suite - Grass (1980) Hey kids. So, it's Thursday and since Queen West hipsters and art fags treat Thursday as the 'new' Friday (seriously, do we need a new Friday? Did we need a New Coke?), I'm going to send out the Disco Mailer a day ahead to set the mood. We have a few new members, and that makes me excited. In keeping with the sleaze theme from our Ann Margret post, I am going with another filthy piece of disco dirt. This time I bring you 'Grass' from 1980's Richie Rome produced African Suite LP (quite the collectors item on original pressing). Filled with bizzare rhythms and percussion plus a chorus of cooing woman muttering on about grass and sass, this is so nasty you might get an STD from pressing the earphones up too close whilst listening. Listen for the 'violating violin' solo -- amazing. This is like Africa on Qualludes. Enjoy. -Bondie
